Recognizing this, I’ve developed a fast and effective Squarespace web design process that allows me to create websites that are unique to each business, without using templates and without comprising on style, effectiveness, and great usability—all of which, work for you to make more money.
How do I design loved websites so quickly?
I collaborate closely with my clients, through email, video calls, and text throughout the design process, making sure their vision and preferences are at the forefront!
This also includes tweaking and editing the website throughout the project, guiding the decision making process to ensure that the project is moving forward and to not being run by decision paralysis, and/or making sure that ideas are filtered through concrete goals that we set at the beginning of the project!
The design process is one of my favorite parts, it’s amazing to see the vision come together in a complete and polished website!
What makes a polished website?
After the overall design is finalized, and we’ve designed each of the web pages with content from the desktop view—I start to jump into the “polishing” phase!
Regardless of your design style (serious, quirky, clean, gritty) these details are what make or break if your website and business appeal as trustworthy and/or credible.
This includes:
Foundational SEO across the website: We want your website to start off the right foot, making sure it can be found browsers such as Google. (I implement: Image alt-text, SEO titles + page descriptions, help you connect Google Analytics, proper Url-slugs.)
Mobile Optimization: Did you know that most people find businesses from their phones? You’re probably one of them (raise a hand if your reading this from your phone!) I make sure that each of your web pages look beautiful from the mobile view too, keeping it aligned with the integrity of your design!
Browser Icon: If you look at the browser tabs, you’ll see a little icon that has my logo of a crane on it. This is a small detail, but it makes your website appear professional, thus credible!
Social Sharing: If you share this post link to someone in a message, my custom social sharing image will pop up in the preview of the link. This is another small detail, but can help make you more memorable and professional!
Header Menu + Footer: A clean and easy to navigate menu at the top (header) and on the bottom (footer) of your website can affect wether your website appears or feels polished!
All of these are standard in my web design package because I believe that they make a world of difference in making a business show up online professionally.

Squarespace! 2 years ago, I decided to exclusively design with Squarespace, because:
They have the least overwhelming and calming dashboard I have ever seen (goodbye overwhelm!)
They are constantly updating their platform to work smoother and more effectively for a range of business types.
Their platform works well with SEO, making it easier to design websites that will be found.
I have never had a website stop working if left unattended for a period of time AND have never needed a plugin for my own website or a clients for a website to work effectively.
